The official start of DCW's "Artist of the Month"

We've decided to add an exciting ongoing contest at DCW called..."Artist of the Month". Each month the winner will be selected by the Admin(s) and a picture of the doll, as well as the artist's name and nursery name, will be posted on the Portal (home page) of DCW and will remain there for the entire month. The winner will also receive a personalized Logo for them to use on their website and/or Ebay listings.

The rules for this contest are a little different than the other contests we've hosted so please read the following carefully.

1. The doll you enter MUST be your own work, including the rooting, baldies are acceptable if you plan on keeping the doll bald.
2. The doll you enter can be either a doll you've done in the past or one you're just starting.
3. You can submit 3 photos only, one headshot of the face, one close up of the hair and one of the whole doll, head to toe. The picture that will be posted on the Portal will be the "full shot" of the doll.
4. Although posing and/or presentation often improves the look of a doll, it will NOT be the main focus of judging, only the painting and rooting will be be judged. But since your doll will be featured on the Portal, you will want to make sure it is posed and photographed in a professional manner.
5. The doll you enter can be any type of doll, OOAKs, minis, preemies, babies, toddlers and children.
6. Only one entry per person, per month.

Anyone that is a current and participating member of DCW is welcome to enter the contest, meaning...forum participation is a requirement, people who join with the sole intent to enter a doll in the contest and yet they never post on the forum will not be considered, no exceptions.

Please tell your reborning friends and associates about the contest and that they are welcome to join our forum (active participation in the forum is required) so they can enter their work for consideration for the next month or simply to enjoy the sense of fellowship that we all find here.

All "Artist of the Month" submissions are due by the 25th of each month, please send the requested 3 pictures to dcwforum@gmail.com as attachments, please don't "embed" them within the body of the email. I will post the "Artist of the Month" picture on the Portal on the 1st of each month.

A copy of this announcement is being sent to all members via the email listed in their profile. Rules are subject to change as necessary.
